AIRC funding for CIBIO researchers
Once again this year, AIRC supports the CIBIO Department by providing funding to researchers for the development of innovative research projects. The grant recipients include:
Fulvio Chiacchiera, Peter De Wulf, Francesca Demichelis, Luca Fava, Alberto Inga, Andrea Lunardi, Maria Caterina Mione, Alessandro Quattrone, Alessandro Romanel, Luca Tiberi, Alessio Zippo, Francesco Orlando, Glenda Paola Grupelli, Daniele Migliorati, Giulia Vitali, Denise Sighel and Toma Tebaldi.
This achievement highlights the quality and impact of the research carried out within the Department and underscores the crucial role of the AIRC Foundation’s support in enabling scientific progress in the fight against cancer.
AIRC Foundation further renews its commitment to supporting cancer research through the “Oranges for Health” initiative, scheduled for Saturday, January 24, 2026, in thousands of squares across Italy. AIRC volunteers, together with students and teachers in schools, will raise awareness of prevention and raise funds for scientific research by distributing red oranges, honey, and marmalade.
